Ubibot Integration for Home Assistant - Temperature, Humidity, Light, and WiFi Sensors
Hi Ubibot community,
I want to share a custom Home Assistant integration for Ubibot that I’ve been working on.
It connects Ubibot devices to Home Assistant and creates sensors for key environmental readings so you can use them in dashboards, automations, and alerts.
What it supports
Current sensor support includes:
- Internal temperature
- External probe temperature (if connected)
- Internal humidity
- External probe humidity (if connected)
- Light level (lux)
- WiFi signal (RSSI)
Supported devices (tested):
- Ubibot WS1
- External RS485 temperature/humidity probe
Features
- Home Assistant UI-based setup (no YAML required)
- HACS custom repository installation (work in progress)
- Polling-based cloud integration
- Device + entity creation in Home Assistant with stable unique IDs
Installation
HACS instalation is still work in progress, but custom repo can be added in HACS https://github.com/ToledoEM/home-assistant-ubibot
Configuration
After installing:
- Go to Settings -> Devices & Services
- Click Add Integration
- Search for Ubibot
- Enter:
- Ubibot Account Key
- Channel ID
- Optional update interval
Repository / Release
- GitHub repo: https://github.com/ToledoEM/home-assistant-ubibot
- Latest release: v0.5.2
Feedback welcome
If you try it, I’d really appreciate feedback on:
- Device compatibility (other Ubibot models)
- Missing sensor fields you want exposed
- Reliability / update behavior
- Documentation improvements
If you find issues, please open a GitHub issue with:
- Ubibot model
- Home Assistant version
- Error logs (if any)
- Which sensors appear / don’t appear
Thanks, and hopefully this helps more people bring Ubibot data into Home Assistant.
