Threshold AND Time Alert
CompletedLooking to add a feature that means both the temperature and a time component need to be exceeded before an alert is sent.
Example: a freezer goes into defrost for 30 minutes and might cross the threshold during the last five minutes of the cycle, but will quickly return back to normal temperature. Wouldn't need an alert for this, only if the threshold was crossed for longer than 15 minutes (as an example).

Hello,
I would like to add my support for this request. We have a similar situation, but with lighting. The lighting is intermittent and often goes off for 5 minutes at a time. We have set an alert for when the lighting turns off, but we only want to be alerted if there is a problem with the system and the lighting stops working - not when it briefly turns off and back on again throughout the day.
Perhaps a feature could be added where an alert is only triggered if a sensor is out of range for X consecutive data points? For example, if the sampling frequency is 5 minutes, and the sync frequency is 15 minutes, the rule could be structured as 'Send an alert if the sensor is out of range for X consecutive data points'. This would then allow for minor dips outside of the standard range to be ignored. In our case, as we sample every 5 minutes, and the lights are off for less than 5 minutes, we could set it so that the alert is only triggered if it is out of range for 2 consecutive sampling points, which would stop the many alerts we get each day.
Thanks!

I was looking at the rules and notice you've updated this feature. Thank you; this is perfect! I have recommended your product to our HVAC and Refrigeration technician--he downloaded the app so he can show and recommend to other customers.
peterorrell Check out your rules, and the Delayed Alerts.
