Provide control of y-axis limits or better automatic range setting
Problem:
All graphs on both app and web version provide no control of the y-axis scaling and do a bad job of automatically determining useful limits. For example, all temperature graphs have range 0-100, which is useless to see variation for most applications.
Solution:
Provide control of y-axis limits. Remember these settings across sessions so the user does not have to constantly re-set the limits to useful values. The defaults should set the smallest range based on (1) limits last set by user and (2) the range observed in selected data, adding some margin for readabilty.
Suggested algorithm for better automatic y-axis limit determination:
Compute min_y, max_y, average y, stdev y, and min_precision (ex. 0.1 degrees)

Hi there,
Thank you for your suggestions.
We have add this feature request to our development plan. The user-defined method will be added sooner than the auto adjust.
Thanks for using Ubibot!

Agree it would be useful to lock the scaling to your own requirements as opposed to automatic scaling. Thanks

Adjusting the scaling would indeed make the graphs more useable

Dear there,
This feature is now available in our new version app. You can upgrade your app or download the latest version:2.3.2 to view it.
This is account based settings, so you will see it by pressing the Settings button in the bottom menu.
We are glad to hear your advice or suggestions on this new feature. Please feel free to contact us if you find any issues.

Thanks Linda,
Do you know if this will also be available in the online console to be able to adjust the scale?

Yes, it will be available on the web console too. Just the webpage part belongs to different team. The app team completed it first, the web team is still working on it. But it won't take long time before it is available.

Hi Linda, do you know if the Console team will be implementing this soon? Thanks

Hi there,
We are sorry for keeping you waiting so long time.
Currently, all the engineers are very busy in their programs and this feature is also in the scheduled list.
The engineer who is in charge of this program just replied that it is expected to be available in two weeks, and hopefully next week. So, please wait a few more days. We are very appreciated for your patience.
Regards
Linda

Hi Linda, Did this get implemented on the web console, it's been a long time since it was implemented on the app.
Thanks

Just got my first device going today but immediately came across this problem - it appears to still not be resolved for desktop browsers?
Thanks,
Phil.

Dear Phil I thought I had the same problem, but found that chart limits are available via Global Charts Settings

Thanks for that! - however I still think the default should be to automatically select the best range eg like Google Charts does.
